List: Qualifying Conditions

Under Section 16 of the Cannabis Patient Protection Act, the legislature finds that there is medical evidence that some patients with terminal or debilitating medical conditions may, under their health care professional's care, benefit from the medical use of marijuana.

Some of the conditions for which marijuana appears to be beneficial include, but are not limited to:

Cancer
HIV
Epilepsy or other seizure disorder
Spasticity disorder
Intractable pain
Post-traumatic stress Disorder (PTSD)
Glaucoma
Crohn’s disease
Multiple sclerosis
Hepatitis C
Chronic renal failure requiring renodialysis
Traumatic brain injury
A disease that results in nausea, vomiting, wasting, appetite loss, cramping, seizures, muscle spasms or spasticity
