DEMO: Editing portraits in post production
DETAILS:
There are several demos in this section. The first 2 are editing portraits with Adobe Lightroom Classic and editing portraits with Adobe Photoshop Camera RAW. The supplemental demos are from other professional photographers, offering their tips for making skin tone adjustments and color matching.
Topics covered:
- Adjusting highlights and shadows on faces
- Brightening eyes
- Removing blemishes
You should do your best while photographing your subjects to use the appropriate lighting and camera settings. Editing in post production is an option and is really just to make your photographs pop. Without the proper practice of lighting and camera settings, any post production editing won't fix the big mistakes. It is also possible to totally over edit faces, which gives them that "photoshop" airbrush look. Try to avoid that.
